Higher education in general and teacher education, in particular, have been subjected to significant changes. Education policy discourses of teacher education tend to change towards a teacher training paradigm where notions of best practice and effective teaching are influential at the expense of teaching based on research. Changes in demands from students expecting to be served and rescued from difficulties are considered a consequence of neoliberal ideas influencing higher education, which both challenge and influence traditional education ideologies. Theoretical education versus practical education is explained below.
Practical education means to gain knowledge with practical experience. Practical education is better because then you actually know how to do things in the real world. The best part of practical knowledge is whatever we learn through the practical way this knowledge will remain in our brain for a long period. In practical education, we learn the facts in an interesting manner which are the best part of the learning, if you enjoy your study then you never be bored or feel nervous about your education. Today our education system needs a practical approach; therefore they are an emphasis on “hands-on learning“, practical knowledge or education in every course whether it is a computer course or teaching course. Practical knowledge can give the best exposure to learning to students or those who want to learn. The scope of practical knowledge is very wide and you can enhance your knowledge through the practical approach of education. There are some things you can only learn through doing and experiencing. Practical knowledge can often lead to a deeper understanding of a concept through the act of doing and personal experience.
Theoretical education is better because then you would be able to figure out how to do new things or handle any situation. Theoretical knowledge means learn anything via textbook, content which is reported earlier without adopting a practical way. It helps you understand the reason why one technique successful where another fails. Theory teaches you through the experience of others. Theoretical knowledge can give you a deeper understanding of a concept through seeing it in the context of a greater whole and understanding the why behind it.
Theoretical learning is what the knowledge is about and practical learning is how the knowledge was learned. The mode of practical learning along with theory gives students clear and contrast explanations about the facts. Theory teaches about the experiences of others while practically experiencing a particular task can learn about their own experiences. Philosophically, knowledge is intangible but the practical experience made it tangible by applying those skills in practice.
