ROBOTICS AS A USEFUL TOOL IN EDUCATION

Robotics enable educators and schools to incorporate educational robotics into their curriculum to create a useful learning experience for students to demonstrate their expertise and gain the important skills required for their futures. Educational robotics offers an effective learning resource for students in different fields such as math, physics, and biology (STEM); educational robotics strengthens communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills for students; and educational robotics creates a fun and engaging learning environment for students. In many areas, robotics technology has been included in rehabilitation, home appliances, and education.

The new technological tool has been attached to the lives of all people, and technology has become a big part of life, particularly a major part of education. The technology occupies the minds of all students and becomes an integral part of their lives. People grow up using all kinds of technology, such as laptops, games, and smartphones, but never care about how it’s made and how it’s being fixed. Even though the world is changing at a rapid pace, schooling has virtually the same structure since the late 1900s, and the real problem here is that many schools are preparing students for the future in the past mindset. Training with educational robotics provides opportunities for students to pause, challenge and think deeply about technology. Educational robotics is a learning tool that is strictly technical. As a very important learning tool to improve many skills from pre-school to high school, robotics have attracted many researchers, students, and schools over the past decade. The skills of the 21st century are highly dependent on skills acquired through educational robotics such as imagination, critical thinking, problem-solving, and many other skills. Educational robotics is, therefore, a very useful educational tool and should be used in all schools. Effective learning tool The most important reason for considering educational robotics as a useful tool in education is that educational robotics is a really useful tool in education because it lets students learn subjects in an effective way. This provides students with an effective learning resource in various fields such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics, physics, and biology. Educational robotics can be a teachers’ aid to develop their student’s learning skills. Robotics can really help students understand the subjects better, and encourage them to apply what they learn in practical projects in schools.

Educational robotics opens many doors in front of the students and helps them understand a lot of math and physics concepts in real terms. A lot of studies suggest that in many fields, such as biology, physics, geography, and programming, educational robotics provide learning opportunities. In addition, educational robotics develops programming skills through related computer-written programming codes and reality to allow robots to work.

Programming has become one of the most important performance skills today not only for computer workers but also for all ages because these skills increase productivity and innovation. With the importance of these skills, students’ need for programming skills has increased, so all ages begin to take an interest in studying programming. The education levels are different, so many educational programming resources have been developed to match every level. Numerous tools are needed to learn to program, such as Arduino, which are used to promote programming learning. Arduino is a platform that receives code from the computer and gives a robot to function with those orders. Therefore, Arduino’s use makes a relationship between computer-written programming codes and reality, so students can better understand those codes to function their robots.

Furthermore, education robotics improves students’ logical thought and imagination to help them learn various subjects. Not only does education robotics merge STEM, but it also fuses many specialties such as dance, art, science, music, and literature. It gives students the opportunity to work together, so by sharing each other’s ideas, it strengthens the teamwork skills among students to come up with an ideal solution to the problems in their projects.
