HOW EDTECH CAN BUILD A BLUEPRINT FOR REAL CHANGE IN PRIMARY SCHOOLS

The new mode of technology is considered to present some potential as an educational tool. Many new platforms are available for educational media content. Undoubtedly technology is an important element in the lives of most children nowadays. Although many schools have also incorporated the use of technology as a learning tool in their curriculum still some researchers and teachers have lots of concerns regarding the use of technology in schools and specifically the use of mobile technology by young children

Providing a high-quality education includes the expectation that teachers use educational technologies effectively in their classroom and that they teach their students to use technology. By most measures, the quality and availability of educational technology in schools, along with the technological literacy of teachers and students, have increased significantly

By most measures, the quality and availability of educational technology in schools, along with the technological literacy of teachers and students, have increased significantly. At technology-rich schools, effective integration of technology into the instructional process is rare.

Clearly, effective and appropriate use of technology does not happen if students do not have access to learning technologies and do not use them for educational purposes; however, pervasive technology use does not always mean that technology is being used effectively or appropriately, nor does pervasive use of technology necessarily lead to increased learning.

The field of adaptive technologies is one area where educational technology holds much promise.  It is widely believed that intelligent tutoring systems could be used to enhance a teacher’s ability to teach and test students but advances in this area have failed to produce the same kinds of formative and diagnostic feedback that teachers provide.

Technology is an important element in the lives of most children nowadays. Many schools have also incorporated the use of technology as a learning tool in their curriculum in order to provide opportunities for teachers and children to become comfortable with the use of modern technology as an effective learning tool. While simultaneously, some other researchers in the field are unsure about the use of educational technology in classrooms for young children.

Teachers and parents have lots of concerns regarding the use of computers and mobile technology by young children. They also find it difficult to understand if it is for the best because these technology products were not there in their childhood.  Some think that technology is valuable for the future lives of children whereas others are of the thought that children should be playing outside or reading a book rather than using technology.

Teachers fear that if computer technology penetrates into teaching than by the use of programmed instruction and electronic worksheets children will fail to benefit from the key experiences that aid in their development. These concerns, however, are not baseless, as there are many popular software programs available for young children that emphasize on learning at the cost of developmentally inappropriate methods.  Numerous advances in the field of educational technology, however,  may  lead the childhood educators to rethink about the potential of technology usage in classrooms. Conventionally, the teacher of preschool send much time in planning and preparing the learning materials,  which usually leads to teachers feeling fatigued.  Moreover, such materials require a lot of storage.  On the contrary, interactive technology is much more attractive,  flexible, and sustainable.
